In 1753, the architect Antonio José Landi landed in Brazil and ended up never leaving Belem do Pará, significantly marking the urban landscape of the city. The exhibition is divided into three different blocks: Bologna, Portugal and Amazon – reflect the curious encounter that this fascinating (and mysterious) figure promoted between what was most modern architecturally in Europe and the confines of the wild and tropical Amazon. The audio-visual project, designed on sinuous projection screens, involved the viewer, making Landi’s drawings and projects even more impressive. Curatorship: Gisela Magalhães and Mauro Bondi
