Senna in Concert was the event that kicked off the year of “Ayrton Senna in Brazil”. It was a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the three time Formula 1 Champion’s legacy.

Around 45 thousand people attended the event, which took place at the eve of Senna’s 44th anniversary.

The stage, specially designed for the event, was composed of a giant 17 x 8 meter screen, made up of 15 cubes, 9 of which were mobile.

On this screen was projected a series of synched videos and animations depicting stages of the champion’s life, while famous Brazilian names took part in the homage.

Milton Nascimento, Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Daniela Mercury, Frejat, Gilberto Gil, Ivete Sangalo and the brother and sister duo Sandy & Junior sang historical songs and moved the public.

Other celebrities also took to the stage to pay homage to the idol – the journalists Chico Pinheiro and Galvão Bueno, former football player Dunga, former basketball player Hortência, former Formula 1 pilot Emerson Fittipaldi, TV entertainer Xuxa, and president Luis Inácio Lula da Silva.
