Featuring around 90 pieces from the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía’s collection, the exhibit in CCBB São Paulo and CCBB Rio de Janeiro shows Picasso’s influence in Spanish modern art, as well as the most important and original aspects of the artistic sensibility the artist and his Spanish contemporaries lent the international art world.
Three audiovisual pieces where developed for the exhibit, including a videographic mobile showcasing the Museo Reina Sofía’s collection was featured at the entrance, presenting visitors with the artwork displayed in the exhibit.
In the Interactive Guernica installation, the artist’s rough sketches and studies are revealed over the finished artwork by a lantern wielded by the visitors themselves.

The video Picasso: from Minotaur to Guernica presents a poetic collage of the preparatory studies and the evolution of the creative process of Guernica, as well as its historical context.
