The Museu Histórico e Pedagógico Índia Vanuíre (Índia Vanuíre History and Learning Museum) has as its goal the preservation of the native Brazilian indigenous culture and its contribution in the development of Brazil, as well as preserving the memory of the city of Tupã.

In the long term exhibit “Tupã Plural” we developed five audioviusal installations for the following modules:

“Creio em Tupan” (I Believe in Tupan)

A multimedia scale model presenting the region’s colonization process, falling back to the end of the XIX century, when the west was an empty plain inhabited by the Kaingang. “I believe in Tupan” was the phrase uttered by Luiz de Souza Leão, one of Tupã’s founders. It was this enterprising spirit that drew the attention of several groups of immigrants who helped construct the city of pederneiras.

“Aldeia Indígena Vanuíre” (Vanuíre Indigenous Village)

Highlights the indigenous presence in the region, past and present. Two documentaries show the cultural resistance of the Kaingang and Krenak tribes, who came to the region in 1950.

We also developed videos for the “Representação Plumária no Acervo Indígena” (Feather Representation in the Indigenous Collection) and “Representação Tecida e Cesteira no Acervo Indígena” (Cloth and Weaving Representation in the Indigenous Collection) modules, which showed details of indigenous art.
