“Narratives of a lifetime: a painter, a time, a place …” is Portinari’s House Museum latest long-term exhibition, which aimed to enrich the building, considering the representativeness of the house as a concrete landmark of the painter’s relationship with his homeland, a connection celebrated and perpetuated in the visual and poetic work of Candido Portinari.
In the project, many electronic resources are used, like a projection of the evolution of the house due to successive expansions made by Portinari himself; the exhibition of never before seen images obtained in the United States, made by the american photographer Hart Preston; and a step by step demonstration of the making of a fresco, a technique used in the paintings on the walls of the house.
