Contributing to the formation of historical consciousness and strengthening the confidence of citizens in democratic institutions. This is the goal of the Minas Assembly Memorial, a place of memory and history; reference and communication center of the Minas Legislative’s political legacy.
Divided into four modules, the long-term exhibition uses the past as a reference for reflections about present concerns.
It allows the visitor – through audio, photos and videos – to interact and learn about the history of Minas Gerais’ Parliament, from its beginnings to the present day, from the legislative process to the creation of new channels of popular participation, through the role of the Assembly in political mobilization moments of the Minas society.
